YEAH, I read Fabulosity! Kimora’s the truth! Except for the chapter where she talks about marriage. Obviously that section of her own book didn’t work out for her.
But the parts where she shares her strong woman style, favorite quotes, work ethic, business and PR savvy? Good stuff. Your typical motivational fare–but with a real chic diva personality behind it.
Let’s focus on the KMS style, though. It’s loud. It’s extravagant. It screams excess. It’s definitely, obviously hip-hop.

I’ll say right now that The Steel Closet folks aren’t always ones for the in-your-face repetitive logos and urban extravagance typical of big name street brands like BAPE or Baby Phat, but we’re not completely turned off from it. We’re into subtle luxuries. Fabulosity, satin ruffles and foil all-over prints work well in small quantities.
A good motto to live by is “Be loud but don’t be the logo.” In other words, I do own a few Baby Phat pieces from ROSS (yep, big big spender)–but not to the point of stinky cat lady status.

The marriage chapter was more about how she met Russell and how he courted her. She also talked about how she opted not to take the “trophy wife” route. I loved the book, and I’m glad to hear that someone else has read it besides me, because I’m always going on and on about Fabulosity!
