10.Deep pushes stamps. Kind of.

You might remember in my one of my earlier posts about how we’d be seeing even more plaid/flannel this season, along with an almost universal resurgence – nay, regurgitance – of M65-inspired jackets.

Well 10.Deep dun went and did it. “Oh no they di’int!” Oh yes they did.

Behold:

Not just plaid. Not just M65. But a plaid M65.

It’s like “original” to these people ain’t nothing but the name of a fried chicken recipe. Ugh.

But if you check out the rest of the lookbook, you’ll see that they’ve got a pretty stunning season in store for us.

The Man of Steel is a decades-old icon of American strength and persistence – and a great spot for 10.Deep to start pissing on. Their “Problem Solvers” motto has never seemed more relevant.

Nothing scares people more nowadays than ::gasp:: whispers of a failing economy, so 10.Deep has decided to confront those fears and satirize them all over their fall tees and goods, dubbing the line “Veni Vidi Vici.”

Yellow journalism, now available on t-shirts.

Even more impressive (and sartorially luscious) is the fact that the entire line is underpinned by reds, whites, and navy blues. The regal colors, Depression-y graphics, and a broad array of appealing pieces almost lets me forgive the fact that they skullfucked my eye sockets with that…that thing.

10.Deep signature stripes and Old Glory colours give this hoodie a fantastic nautical feel. This color palette really tones down the outlandishness of some of these designs, making it feel more like RL or Nautica than a streetwear brand.

Oh yeah, they have cardigans too. Surprise.

Again, none of the pieces are really original – but I have to give daps for melding a great color scheme with historically evocative icons and current events. Bravo, 10.Deep.
